Directors Visit Ports of Auckland

Recently our Board of Directors represented by Chairperson Vaine Nooana-Arioka, alongside Directors Geoffrey Vazey & Clive Baxter, had the privilege of visiting the Ports of Auckland and engaging with CEO, Mr. Roger Gray.

Their visit provided invaluable insights into the operational efficiencies and advanced technologies employed at the Ports of Auckland. The discussions with Mr. Gray highlighted their strategic initiatives in sustainability and community engagement. Our Chair person and Directors were greatly inspired in the knowledge POAL staff members comprise 78% Pasifika, and with this insight, POAL recently established Pasifika Outcomes Manager role. POAL serves as a source of insight for areas where we see potential for meaningful engagement and future partnership to enhance our own business activities.

Furthermore, our interactions underscored the importance of fostering robust international partnerships. The knowledge gained from this visit will undoubtedly inform our ongoing projects, particularly in enhancing our infrastructure and service delivery.
